Cyprus - He may be the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic but that did not help him much when trying to enter a discotheque in Cyprus´ capital Nicosia.

During his official visit to Cyprus, PM Mirek Topolánek (Civic Democrats) and his entourage were refused entry to the discotheque after a "face control" by a bouncer.

Whatever that was that the bouncer did not like about Mr. Topolánek´s face, he laughed off his argument he was the Czech Prime Minister, thinking he was just playing a trick on him.

The bouncer could not be convinced and it had to be the club owner who eventually let Mr. Topolánek in.

French football player Zinedine Zidane reported once similar problems with not being let to enter Nicosia´s clubs. Rather surprising, a man with such a famous face.
